Experienced, reliable, flexible, and puts your needs first!
Colleen Sophia knows realty and she is really easy to work with. She always is looking out for your interests, not hers (you'd think all realtors were like that, but they're sadly not!)
One always wants an experienced realtor who knows the local market.
Colleen is just that with an extensive understanding of the Denver area, not just in the south metro where we were searching. I was surprised how much she knew about central Denver where I had just sold a house last year. Another sign of her experience--she was unsurprised as over the course of a couple months searching, our 'together house' criteria evolved a lot. She patiently helped us tease out the things that were ultimately important to us while touring a lot of homes that looked great on the internet but weren't so great in person.
One wants a realtor who is flexible and tenacious, and Colleen is just that. While in a neighborhood for one house, I ran across another house she had not arranged to see for that day's tour. The usual home booking companies were unable to set up a visit for the home. Undeterred, while I looked through the windows, she called a series of folks to chase down the listing agent and get access to the house.
Maybe most importantly, Colleen is patient and puts her clients first. She's not just trying to quickly close deals. We found a home we loved which had another interested party writing an offer to be submitted the next day. Colleen wrote up a competitive offer for us and told us to sleep on it overnight. That night we got cold feet and decided not to move forward. She simply said, 'ok, lets keep looking'. She didn't try to push us toward a deal that didn't feel right.
Finally, Colleen is just plain nice and personable. Again, you'd think all realtors would be like that but they're not. Colleen is far ahead of the pack.
