With an extensively eclectic educational background and work experience history, Colleen McGurk offers unique knowledge and skills related to fair housing and ADA compliance, as well as new construction, renovations and restorations.
Colleen has been a licensed and registered REALTOR® with The Danberry Co., Realtors in Toledo, Ohio since January 2023 and has been committed to real estate full-time since June 2023. Colleen is dedicated to helping clients find the perfect home or property, and realize their own ideal housing situation.
Colleen is also an accredited interior designer with a bachelor's degree in interior design and construction from Appalachian State University. Colleen has field experience in roofing, kitchen and bath design, flooring, backsplash installation, and whole home design planning. Colleen continues to stay current in the latest trends and industry updates in flooring, lighting, wall coverings, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, landscaping, new home construction, restoration, DIY and renovation.
Colleen is also a licensed intervention specialist holding a master's degree in special education and reading instruction endorsement from The University of Toledo and the State of Ohio. Colleen has over 11 years of classroom management experience with students in grades 4-12 with mild to severe physical and developmental disabilities, as well as providing needed supports with social-emotional learning or similar scholastic barriers. Colleen's personal connections in her family and friend circles further support her motivations for advocating to ensure all individuals' rights and access to fair housing are being met.
