Some people grow up never knowing what they want to do with their life; for me it was very different. I knew Real Estate was my destiny; a New York girl, born and raised, making the big move over the Outerbridge to New Jersey at just Eight years old. The process fascinated me, I can remember every step! From traveling back and forth on weekends, all of the open houses, shiny new MLS print out sheets of homes! Maybe I'm dating myself but back then, the internet didn’t exist! It was so thrilling to me, the unknown, touring the homes and seeing new places that could possibly be the new home my parents would buy.
When they did decide we landed in a single family 4 bed, 2.5 bath in the heart of Manalapan NJ, rated with the best school system and as a bonus there was a drag racing track in the area!
As I grew older I dabbled in all types of jobs, I was born a hustler. At 12 years old I landed my first job washing dishes at a pizzeria. At 15 I started as a cashier at a local grocery store and became the manager of the instore Starbucks by 16. While doing that I was now old enough to work at the mall with working papers and without hesitation I applied for a retail position. It wasn't enough for me, I wanted more. I was committed to the hustle and being independent. I went back to work for another local pizzeria on weekends and became a full time nanny during the week. At age 17, I was maintaining three jobs and school too. I was determined and nothing would get in my way to build for the future.
As college approached I knew I needed to make a career change and real estate was my focus. I Walked into Century 21 and applied for an open receptionist position. I watched top agents buzz in and out of the office. I got to see the array of marketing tools and all of the work behind the scenes. It took me some time to build up the courage, to pull the trigger and become licensed. In 2015 I finally did and I was ready to take on the real estate world. I treaded water my first few years in real estate; no one trusts the new girl. By year 3 I set sail, I became a top agent. Quarter after quarter I watched the market evolve and I grew with it. I was determined to help as many families as I could when making the biggest purchase of their lives. Most of all, I enjoy being part of these special moments.
It’s been 8 years now. Finally I found my home at RE/MAX Central, I have seen the ups and downs, the highs and the lows of this market and I ride the wave still bringing all of the hustle for my clients.
