When we bought our first home in 2014, we found the home we wanted first then enlisted an agent to finalize the transaction and we were lucky to get it on the first offer and first time ever trying. I think that experience left us a bit naive to how hard it could be to navigate a hard market when we actually tried to buy another home during the middle of the pandemic. Carol comes with so many years of experience and we wanted her expertise particularly because she was local to the area we wanted to buy and knew the lay of the land. We had a very specific area in mind and a lot of criteria we were trying to meet and Carol was able to tell us some history of certain housing areas that only a local agent would know. She was also flexible in times to come show us houses since it was a lot harder to view them during the pandemic. Unfortunately with what the market was with overbidding wars, we were not able to find a home quickly this time and that's not anybody's fault. Many discouraged offers later, we finally secured an offer and love our new home! We were very picky in the beginning but had to lower some of our criteria as our search continued. I would say the only thing I wish Carol could have helped more in the process was more proactive recommendations of houses to look at or to vet them for us. She runs a large team so I understand part of it was our own pickiness that she let us come to her with houses we were interested in (we turned down many of her suggestions) and then she'd help us narrow things down. It helped greatly that she knew the seller's agent for the house we ended up buying and her connections will be invaluable to any buyer! Once we were in escrow, it was smooth sailing and we felt confident that she would help us close on the deal. I would highly recommend Carol to anyone buying in this San Ramon/Danville surrounding area if you want a knowledgeable, well-connected agent for this highly desirable area!
We've been working with Carol for almost 2 years to find a home we wanted. The combination of being picky about our needs and the pandemic producing a crazy overbidding market dragged out our search. Once we bought our new home though, Carol was also there to help us sell our first home and we were so glad to work with a professional, experienced agent who took care of all the details. From recommendations to touch ups and her team to help us clean and stage our place, to listing on the market with beautiful pictures, to dealing with potential buyers, to getting all the paperwork in order--we honestly didn't have to lift much of a finger.
