Carol guided us through the sale of a fixer-upper that had been in the family for more than 30 years. She understood we wanted to get a great price even though the house was not in very good shape, so she clearly laid out our options: 1) Sell the house in as-is condition to investors who would pay with cash, 2) Take on a big remodel job ourselves and sell the house for top dollar, or 3) Get inspections done, do a small amount of work to get rid of the "ick" factors, and list it for buyers who wanted a deal.
