In 2000, Carmen obtained her real estate license and partnered with her mother Margaret Martinez. Both are Seniors Real Estate Specialists (SRES®). Carmen has achieved various certifications including the GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute) designation, PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor) certification, and CPRES® (Certified Probate Specialist) certification. Additionally, she stays up-to-date with industry trends by regularly listening to podcasts and participating in training sessions. Carmen has also established a network of agents throughout the United States and has served on multiple committees at GCAAR, her local board of REALTORS®.
Carmen holds a B.A. in History/Media Studies from Fordham University in New York and a M.A.T. in Early Childhood Education & Elementary Education from Trinity College in the District. She taught in the Washington, D.C., and Montgomery County, MD school systems for seven years. With her diverse background and extensive real estate experience, Carmen is highly qualified to provide exceptional service to her clients.
Carmen resides in Rockville, MD along with her husband and younger daughter, a freshman at the Academy of the Holy Cross. Her older child is a freshman at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. They have a Lab named Alzner (Alzie) and a Great Dane named Pepper.
