We were 2.5hrs away in Danville and had to travel up here to see homes in a market that was doing everything but going down in price’s. Every single time we came it was a whirlwind tour of homes going off the market as we were driving up, homes that blew threw the selling price and even last minute homes that literally came on the market at the last second. All our cars put on mileage looking for homes. In it Candice kept one step ahead of us trying to get things to work for us and getting us out of situations that were not right for us. We would like to commend Candice Cox for her advice and expertise in selling our Lake Monticello home. We met her at an open house when we were "just considering" letting go of our dream retirement home. Even though we were not buyers, she was so kind and talked to us at length about the process. We were inpressed from that beginning chance meeting. It was evident that she knew the best strategy to stage and market the house. Here are some great things she did for us that we appreciated: -willingly, patiently, completely answered all our many questions about all the many details throughout the whole process -carefully explained each step necessary to the sale and how to deal with the various things that came up that we did not expect -suggested excellent people to help us get the house ready and to meet the inspection demands, checking on their work herself -explained the details of how to approach the offer and make a counter offer -came by many times to see how we were progressing with the move and helped immeasurably to get us out of the house. She even cleaned out the laundry room. Because of the Corona Virus we chose not to travel from Oakton to the Lake once the house was for sale. We felt completely comfortable depending on Candice to coordinate the many details necessary to close the sale and do the final move and even clean the garage. She suggested a great persoon to help with the move north. She carefully monitored what was happening and kept us informed. We conducted many Zoom meetings. We are very pleased with the service of Candice on behalf of Monticello Courntry Realtors. While we are sad to leave the lake, we have a memory of very special person who helped us.
