Brian McCarthy once mentioned to me that he was fundamentally interested in assisting people who felt like the market was out of their reach, with attaining quality, affordable real estate in the East Bay.  And as my real estate agent over the last couple of years, he's just achieved that and more as a friend and partner in the buying / selling process. With Brian's guidance, all of the offers that we made on houses for sale were accepted - those are fantastic stats! Two years ago, Brian found us an amazing home in a great neighborhood in Oakland that worked with my budget and other needs at the time, while having the foresight to understand and believe in it's current and future potential. When it came  time to sell the house, he readily navigated the process of staging, home improvement, and listing / marketing for us, while maximizing the house's potential and ability to shine and stand out.  Brian ensured that the house attracted as much attention as possible until we received an offer that we found reasonable in working with, and then expertly handled contract negotiations and the sale. During the purchasing and selling phases of the house, Brian has looked out for our best interests while being a fair, hardworking, and knowledgeable agent within the community. He's provided us with constant support, interesting opportunities, and great results. I feel fortunate that we've had the opportunity to work with him during  both our house purchase and sale - processes which can seem daunting, at the least.  I can't recommend Brian McCarthy enough to to folks looking to buy or sell a home, he's one of the best real estate agents out there!

First let me say that we were referred to Brian by two separate people, and I cannot even begin to say how happy we were that we followed their advice. Brian was an incredible agent for us. As others have said, being first time home buyers, we needed a lot of guidance, and Brian walked us through every step and answered ALL of our incessant questions. He recommended a lender, whom we loved, and he checked in every week. He also went with us on our first home searching weekend to show us what to look out for. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and honest. When we were ready to put in an offer, Brian was just as excited for us as we were. He helped us through the entire process and had our back the whole time. He helped with every detail – counter offers, closing, walk throughs, and even after we moved in, he still checks on us. He is constantly available, punctual, and super upbeat. I am so happy he was recommended to us, because we will be recommending him to others, too!

My experience with Brian was great!! I haven't worked with too many other agents, but he was better than all of them. He spent lots of time with us and gave us great advice. He handled all parts of the sale; referring us to contractors and coordinating their work. Everything went smoothly and we got several good offers. I am immensely satisfied.
