I think the take away is that we should have had an agent that just represented us and given us better advice. The house was in far poorer shape than expected. Items were hidden from view. We paid way too much. We have had to put in a lot of money to make it liveable. Garbage was not removed from top of back hill that could not be seen. Cracked and worn floors covered by rugs and curtains actually stapled to the wall not to mention the filth that could not be seen. This house was for our mother who is very elderly. We would have hoped you would have better looked out for us especially since we had a previous business relationship.

Things came full circle when we decided to sell our home. Barb was our realtor who helped us tremendously when we purchased our home. 10 years later when we decided to relocate we went right to Barb to sell our home. She helped us get a great price as well as be realistic with what we could list it for as well as suggestions along the way to help the sale. She held down the fort when we were out of state and was able to seal the deal with some great buyers. We appreciate everything she did.

Barb knows the market as in what’s available and what people looking for locally. She was able to bring up selling points of the property and also some draw backs. She did this in a manner where no one felt offended. Barb stayed positive throughout the process and in the end I think we came close to a realistic selling price that was close to Barb’s estimate.
