About Barbara

Barbara brings over thirty-two years of real estate experience to the company. Prior to joining Terrie O’Connor Realtors, Barbara spent her entire real estate career working for companies in Saddle River & Upper Saddle River. She attributes her successful career to her integrity, perseverance, hard work and responsiveness to her clients’ needs, from the start to the end of each transaction. Barbara holds a degree in Elementary Education from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry. Before entering real estate she worked in the Woodcliff Lake and Upper Saddle River School Systems as well as the Nyack and Mamaroneck school systems in New York. While her husband was serving in the armed services in Germany, Barbara taught in the Aschaffenburg Department of Defense Oversees Dependent School. Her next experience with the Armed Services was when her son, a Marine Corps Naval Aviator Captain, was ordered to Iraq in 2003 for the opening of Operation Iraqi Freedom followed by numerous tours of duty to the Middle East until 2006. Barbara and her family lived in Upper Saddle River for ten years. Two of her three children attended Northern Highlands Regional High School. During her time in USR, Barbara volunteered in the school system and served on the Board for Anona Park. She was also an active member of the Upper Saddle River Sports Association. Barbara previously resided in Allendale, Mahwah and presently in Waldwick. She is extremely knowledgeable about the local area. She is a parishioner of St. Gabriel’s Parish. While a parishioner at Church of the Presentation from 1982-2003, Barbara was an active volunteer and group leader. She has also volunteered for the Hackensack Hospital Fundraising Group that has worked on numerous Show Houses in Saddle River.
