About Andy

Andy Akers spent his early childhood in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky before moving to Louisville when he was 7. Andy attended the University of Louisville for college and lived in Old Louisville for 7 years. After college Andy sold mortgages for 3 years and got his first love of real estate there. After he left the mortgage industry, Andy went into operating room medical equipment sales. Andy sold operating room medical equipment for 7 years before making the switch back into the real estate industry. Andy specializes his knowledge into several different different Louisville markets. Containing Old Louisville, St. Matthews, Mount Washington and the east and south ends of Louisville. Andy is an adventure sports fanatic! His hobbies include skydiving, backcountry skiing, rock climbing, rappelling, mountaineering, kayaking, hiking, fishing and hunting. Andy loves working with all buyers and sellers but takes special care of first time home buyers. He loves being able to educate new buyers on the entire home buying process.
