As my elderly parents’ health needs grew beyond the expertise of their family’s help, I began to review the many real estate sales brochures that had been sent to their home. The claims of extensive local knowledge, the current housing market in the current economic climate as well as a home’s condition and its impact on the marketplace were essentially the same. I left messages with the different offices / agents to set up an introductory meeting. I stated the location of my parents’ home, the urgency of getting the house on the market and the need to get the best price as possible from this sale. The only call I received in regards to my inquiries was from Anda Margine with Medford Realty. At our first meeting she and her team came prepared with the local home sale information from 2019 that matched the square footage, year of construction, quality of the neighborhood, and current existing condition of my parents’ home. We were able to ascertain from that 1st meeting what their house could sell for on the spot and what the listing price might be if we upgraded this 60 year old home. We even had an approximate idea of the money that would be needed for these repairs. And this information was indeed accurate. Plus, we were lucky to be matched up with a couple, new to the marketplace, but anxious to get settled in to their first home. Despite being under quarantine and the impact of Covid-19 on the marketplace, the sale of the home went smoothly for both the buyer and the seller.

We moved to the Bay Area from mid-East, Washington DC area. We took the time to understand the East Bay area and decide where we would want to eventually buy a house. What a diverse area to choose from and what a task before us! We knew we need some help. Anda came in just at the right time to help. We had a wish list based on our needs and preferences. - Cost. Coming from MD it was hard to accept the prices in this market - Location. We wanted a view. - Proximity to the work place. Do I need to say Bay Area traffic? - Neighborhood. Great location well maintained. Anda took the time to explain the housing market with an emphasis on home ownership value and benefits. We looked at the market history compared to the national data during the boom and the recession. We were ready to buy once again. Communicating everything important to us helped Anda nailed down the location for us. Our options for the locations were expanded. Anda spent numerous hours researching what fitted us best. Once we agreed on the area she deployed great strategies to get us in that market. Finding and getting the house of our dreams required professional negotiating skills and crafting the offer based on understanding the seller. Great overall experience. Anda is exuberant, caring, motivated and driven to get the expected results. She knows when to push and when to wait. She leveraged her experience and her contacts to our benefit.
