Amy is an incredible asset to any buyer, but especially a first-time buyer. She provides so much knowledge and insight regarding the process, resale value, issues to look for, etc. that we would have never thought of. From day 1, we were completely confident in her ability to guide us through the process. I would 100% recommend her to anyone buying or selling a home.

Amy helped us buy our first house over 10 years ago and when we decided to sell recently we knew we wanted to work with her again. Just like the first time she was responsive and helpful through the process. I was moving to Durham from Pittsburgh, PA, and Amy Shair was recommended to me by a colleague who is originally from the Durham area; we immediately realized why. Amy was quick, responsive, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about everything from neighborhoods to construction of the homes themselves. Within a day, she compiled our must-haves list and understood our style. We found our home within a couple of weeks because she set up viewings so quickly (and over facetime) - sometimes within an hour of us agreeing that we were interested in the property! Amy would hunt down relevant public paperwork and reports to ensure we had all the data. She went above and beyond when she helped coordinate allowing painters access to the house and doing a post-painting walk through AFTER we had purchased the house but before we had moved to the area, and she made sure that our home was ready when we arrived. We will use Amy again when we're looking for our next real estate move, and I'm recommending her to all of my future colleagues looking to buy in the area. When I told my brother about our buying experience with Amy, he was astonished and jealous that he didn't have such an amazing realtor when he bought his home in Alaska!
