As first-time homebuyers, we entered the Hudson Valley market the way one enters a haunted house—hopeful, yet tense and fairly certain something would jump out and scream “all-cash offer.” We were also looking for something very specific: an old house with history, quirks, and just enough charm to justify questionable electrical and insulation choices. Amy understood us immediately. Amy has the rare ability to be both extremely competent and deeply calming. She explained the entire process clearly, answered every question (including the ones we asked twice but phrased slightly differently), and never once made us feel foolish for being first-time buyers with a lot of feelings. She was unfailingly responsive, punctual, and generous with her time. Coming from NYC, we relied heavily on her scheduling and efficiency. She knows the area inside and out (local lenders, lawyers, inspectors, sellers’ agents) and connected us with exactly the right people to get the deal done. Amy is absolutely wonderful to work with. She is responsive over both text/phone and really listened to us when it came to helping us find our home. She emphasized that it was important for us to find the right place, on our timeline. Leading up to the offer and closing she helped us navigate the process which was so helpful as a first time home buyer myself.
