It was great being able to live an apartment style life for quite some time and have my landlord fix anything that came up around the house. Even though the whole time I had my apartment I really wanted a place of my own. However much I wanted my own place the actual process of getting there felt daunting. Luckily we had a great realtor, Alan Brown, set us up with the process. The first meeting was at his cool home office to set you at ease and then somehow BBQ shows up for dinner! We set up our target areas and price range we wanted to meet and Alan doesn't force you to get anything you don't want. After the first meeting the real fun started with seeing close to 25 houses. We weren't willing to settle and neither was Alan. If we ever had any questions Alan would respond very quickly and address any concerns we had. If we knew we didn't want the house Alan was very patient with the decision and wasn't gonna push anything we didn't want. We finally found the house that we knew we belonged in and Alan had all the paperwork ready to go! Even though it was a lot of paperwork it didn't seem like it with Alan and was very organized and always was going after our lender or the seller to get the process where it needed to be. It was great having someone go to bat for you that you knew you could trust their judgement when you weren?t around. I would highly recommend Alan to go to bat for you when you make that choice and huge commitment to purchase your new home!
To say I'm a picky buyer is an understatement as I'm sure Alan would tell you, but Alan was there every step of the way to make sure I found the perfect house. Alan's experience and knowledge helped me learn what to look for and helped me realize what I actually wanted in a home. I would absolutely recommend Alan to anyone who's looking for a realtor.
