Alan was very straightforward in the best possible way- he was very upfront and realistic at every step of the home buying process about potential issues and the best way to approach problems. He was also very knowledgeable about almost every aspect of the process. Specifically, we were incredibly impressed with his technical knowledge on houses and the market. He was able to very quickly spot points of interest or issues in every home we walked into, which allowed us to make the most informed decision possible at any given time. However, arguably more important than that, we can't speak highly enough about his moral character. When making a huge life decision such as buying a home, there's always that worry in the back of one's mind that they'll make a bad decision (such as spend too much and end up house poor). But that worry was put at ease fairly quickly, because it became very clear to us that Alan genuinely was looking out for our best interests when helping us find a home.
