Jonathan was our realtor while looking for a lease in San Francisco. When we liked a place and wanted to move fast because of the market. Jonathan moved along the application fast and promptly informed us if any documents that might be missing. He also advocated to the landlord on our behalf to take the security deposit through a credit card. He was present during move in and helped us navigate parking with movers. They are a professional realtor and you would feel so when working with them. Would recommend to others as well.

Dan was one of two referrals I had from different sources. I had a list of questions to ask of both. The first didn't listen to me at all and was only interested in telling me what he wanted to say. Dan let me direct the conversation answering every question I had. I knew in that first conversation that I had chosen the right person to work with.The property had some challenges to it but in the end due to his diligence and knowledge of the area, it sold for more than expected. I had weekly phone updates and was kept informed at every step. Dan was kind, thoughtful and very professional. It was an absolute pleasure working with him. I had much anxiety going into the process of selling my house, as I had lived there for over 30 years and there was still much improvement that needed to be done. Having little knowledge of what an Agent's responsibilities were and what I needed to do to prepare to sell and move; I made a long list of questions. I was in the, out of the ordinary, position of wanting to market my house while I was living there. Dan provided honest, experienced based, answers to all of my questions. He gave me options for having some or many improvements done, or selling as is, along with the projected costs and expectations of what kind of offers to expect in each scenario. As more questions arose, Dan was prompt and professional at returning my calls and messages with answers and options. He also at various times in my process helped me see Housing options in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Dan or his team arranged for and met with inspectors promptly and were always available to schedule and meet prospective buyers at private viewings as well as the Agent Open Houses. Dan suggested an asking price based both on the Bernal Market and his experience. My dream was to move only once and end up in Marin County. This became a reality as I accepted an offer, well over the asking price, on my house and we closed four days before I closed on a property in Marin! I highly recommend Dan Dodd.

I think the the qualities that make Dan stand out is #1 his long experience as a realtor and #2 his long experience as a realtor in San Francisco which has some significant "particularities". Dan simplified the home selections given the parameters we requested and guided us through the process of buying a home. He also has a wealth of referrals for home modification and repair which was helpful. Dan was easy to work with, and is a true professional as a real estate agent. I met Dan a few years ago as he was preparing to put a large "trophy" home on the market in the hills above Market Street. It was a stunning piece of real estate, but needed lots of work to get it ready for market in order to get the highest price. His expertise in preparing the property was amazing - a night and day difference, and the property sold quickly (in a soft market) for over $3 million. I knew then that when I needed one, Dan would be my realtor. Fast forward a few years and it was time for 3 major moves in our lives - sell the business, buy a house outside of the city, and sell our condo. We approached Dan with our plan, and he put the gears in motion. The sale of our property was tricky: the best property in a not-so-great location. He had it sold in less than 30 days, for our full asking price. He helped us successfully navigate purchasing our new home (15 bids? not exactly sure, but there were ALOT). We ended getting the property for $50K less than the high bidder, largely due to Dan's competence and knowledge of the process. Early on, I promised myself I would do everything Dan told me to do. Some of those things were difficult and expensive to perform on - but I followed through on my promise to him and myself - and it was a completely successful process. Dan is extraordinary and rare, and you'll be a very lucky person to have him on your side as you navigate the minefield that is Northern California real estate.

I keep throwing Dan curve-balls with last minute opportunities in San Francisco and he responds quickly with knowledge about values and process and he's always come through. He's helped me buy three properties in the past and each time, he makes it clear and easy and jumps on the offers before they go to someone else.
