So the overall sale process was very smooth in a tough seller's market. She was also very helpful in getting me trusted and good workmen in her network to do work large n small to get the house ready (painting, new floors etc.), which was extremely reassuring. We didn’t think that it would be very easy (maybe not possible at all) to buy a house in this market. We wanted to find a real estate agent that was a seasoned negotiator and Elise was recommended to us. Elise made it possible for us to find a house that fit all of our criteria! We did get outbid on the first house we found and it helped my husband and I understand how the buyers have to make decisions very quickly. She was diligent about going out to see houses as soon as they were listed so they were not lost to the fast buying process. Finally, another home with exactly the same floorplan in the same neighborhood (as the one we were outbid on) came up and Elise helped us move quickly with negotiations. It is very important that anyone I do business with responds to messages/phone calls. Elise always responded right away even if it was to give us an ETA on when she could get back to us. We knew she was busy and working with other buyers & sellers but we never felt like we were left without communication. I cannot stress how important this is for me since buying a house is a huge financial decision that must be made very quickly (in this market).
