Heather Shields with Be New Orleans landed our family our dream home. A lot of our move to New Orleans had to happen remotely—moving from Hawaii doesn’t exactly leave much time for house hunting in person. We initially communicated by email and phone, and I laid out what our family really wanted from a home. Heather took it to heart. By the time I was able to get to New Orleans for a few days of house hunting, Heather had already learned enough about us to really understand what we were looking for. She brought that understanding to every showing. As professional as she was, I could always tell when she knew almost immediately that a house just wasn’t *our* house. Then she saw my eyes light up at one property. I think she knew, probably as quickly as I did, that this was going to be our home. From there, she guided us smoothly through what could have been an incredibly complicated process, especially from thousands of miles away. She continued offering advice and helping make the transition easier even after the sale was complete. Heather clearly loves New Orleans, and more importantly, she knows New Orleans. She brought that knowledge and affection for the city into everything she did for us, and I couldn’t be more grateful that we found her. She has my full-throated recommendation for anyone looking to move to this beautiful, complicated, dynamic city. One final thing stuck with me. I was always glad to see Heather because her positive energy is infectious—but what impressed me even more was that everyone else was always happy to see her, too. At showings, inspections, and throughout the process, it became obvious that she is trusted, respected, and genuinely well-liked by the people she works with. Heather is clearly tried and true in this community, and after working with her, I completely understand why.
