Hi, I’m Shawn Watson, co-founder of The Watson & Switzer Group at RE/MAX Northwest. I proudly serve clients across the dynamic Portland–Vancouver metro area and throughout the Willamette Valley—from Salem to Eugene.
With two decades of experience and over 1,000 clients served, I bring a strong foundation in real estate, marketing, and negotiation to every transaction. I hold a master’s degree in Real Estate & Construction Management and a bachelor’s in Business.
Before real estate, I served in the U.S. Coast Guard and worked as a K9 officer with the New Mexico State Police. I’ve also served as a city councilor and planning commissioner—roles that deepened my commitment to community and smart growth.
My business is built on referrals, and I’m proud to say that more than 90% of my clients come from trusted relationships and personal recommendations. My focus is simple: deliver great results, earn trust, and make the process as smooth and rewarding as possible.
I work closely with my partner, Daniel Switzer, who brings his creative energy and marketing expertise to every aspect of our business. With a background on Broadway and a master’s degree in Communication: Social Media & Advertising, Daniel brings a vibrant, client-focused perspective to how we present and showcase each property—ensuring they stand out and leave an impactful impression on prospective buyers.
With offices in both Portland and Eugene, we’re grateful for the opportunity to live and work throughout this diverse and welcoming region of the Pacific Northwest. We seamlessly share our time between the two places we call home—Portland and our family’s second home in Lowell, Oregon, overlooking beautiful Dexter Lake, just outside of Eugene.

I've always been interested in houses. When I was young, I was fascinated with castles. My first job after college was at a Real Estate company. When I got my Real Estate License in 2011, it was a perfect fit. I don't consider myself a salesman - but I'm here to help you solve a problem. If you want to sell your home - I can do that; If you want to buy a home - I can help you with that, too! I am a native Oregonian; my family has been here since the 1840’s. I grew up in Oregon City, but now call Gresham home. I’ve got two rambunctious puppies that keep me company and terrorize the squirrels and raccoons that wander past my back yard. I am licensed as a Principal Broker in Oregon at RE/MAX Select. In Washington, I’m licensed as a Real Estate Broker and hang my hat at RE/MAX Premier Group.

Shawn is the best agent I have EVER worked with!
I just have to say, Shawn has been the best realtor my husband and I have EVER worked with. I came to him with several expectations going into the sale of our home in McMinnville, and he surpassed every one of them. My husband and I have bought and sold a number of homes and he has by far been the best and most professional we’ve worked with. Shawn made sure that once we decided to sell and move forward on the process with him, that our home was live the week we decided, with extremely professional photos all before we went live, and once we did we had not ONE but TWO offers in 48 hours! One of which STARTED and CLOSED in 3 weeks!!!!! We plan to buy again in about a year and he will be the first point of contact to move forward with a new buy! I really appreciated his communication, representation, and his efficiency throughout the entire process. He made a point to keep the process moving as quickly as possible- regardless of any stressor the was presented. SERIOUSLY- a million thanks to Shawn for his amazing friendship and teamwork! He had our house sold in 4 days.... we really appreciated all of his hard work. He made it so easy and not complicated at all....he went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable an gave us all the information in a timely manner.
