Andrea is a miracle worker. My wife and I owned a home in the Beacon Rd & Lincoln Ave area of Lakeland that had been rented out for 6 years (since we moved to North Texas in July 2012), and after our tenants moved out, the place was a mess. We enlisted Andrea as our agent (we had kept in touch with her through the years, and she was always quick to give us her professional opinion regarding the So. Lklnd real estate market & our home's real value). She was proactive in getting our house cleaned up (both inside and out), and assessing needed repairs and maintenance issues, while always keeping us updated with honest feedback from potential buyers. Most importantly, she never grew desperate, and kept our hopes up. We ended up with a very fair offer (thanks to Andrea's diligence and patience), and closed last week. My wife Deanna and I can not say enough about Andrea's work ethic and knowledge of the local real estate market, nor can we recommend Andrea any more highly. She is very quick to respond to questions, is willing to work for you at all times, and has good contacts in the surrounding area if you find the perfect home, that just needs a little work. By chance I ran across Andrea when I was trying to get info on mortgage companies in or around Lakeland. Being from TN I was unfamiliar with the area. Andrea honestly went above and beyond my expectations. She knows Lakeland like the back of her hand. She can literally answer any question you have. If she doesn't know, she will find out. She always responded to calls, texts, and emails the same day. She walks you through every process and explains how it works. I have never had a realtor who takes more pride in her job than Andrea. Jay Hickman is knowledgeable, professional, kind, helpful, and GENUINE. Jay just so happened to be representing the home we fell in love with on Zillow. I can't even tell you how lucky we are that he was! This was our first time looking at a house to buy...ever! We knew right away that this would be our new home, but there were many questions we had about the process, being that we were so new to it. Jay was so gracious in answering all of our questions. He worked as the agent between buyer and seller and did so effectively and transparently. Jay makes himself very available through email, calling, or even texting. He works with your schedule and will answer any question or give any needed recommendations as far as local inspectors go, etc. He was very good at facilitating our relationship with the sellers and helping us through the negotiating process. All while keeping necessary things confidential. I would rate our overall experience with Jay Hickman above perfect. It was more like a blessing. It is rare in today's society to deal with professionals with such integrity. I would recommend Jay to my family and friends in a heartbeat! If I had to use one word to describe our experience with Andrea, it would have to be WOW!!! We decide to place our home on the market and expected it may take a few months to sell. Andrea came in, directed us wisely on what to do to make our home show ready. She advised us on the price point, one we were very happy with! The For Sale sign went in our yard and we had 5 showings in the first week. One of those showings became a cash offer and within 7 days of listing our home we had a cash contract! Joy helped me search for a home that would suit both my picky needs and price range for nearly a year! She was always very patient and accommodating.
