She went above and beyond her duties as a real estate agent. She was able to negotiate a tricky situation with the seller to work out to my advantage. Marika also helped me to find specialists to complete work on the home that was needed after I closed, and recommended a company for my loan and my home insurance, among many other things! She even helped me find new appliances for my home! She has been in touch even now, over a month after closing, just to check on me and see how I am doing. She is extremely personable, trustworthy, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and attentive. I would highly recommend Marika to anyone who is buying a home in the Charleston area. We decided to purchase a For Sale By Owner home that was not using a realtor. We were not planning on using a Realto in order to try to save money as well. It sounded so easy. But, after talking with her, we decided to ask Karen to get involved in the process as a facilitator. Because of that, the transaction was much easier than it would have been without Karen. There are many more hoops to jump through than you'd ever imagine. Karen asked us questions that we never thought about (both for the buyer and the seller). I now know that Realtors do so much more than listing or showing houses. She made the purchase so easy.
