When my girlfriend and I started our purchase process in the fall, we really didn't know anything about buying a home. We went to a few open houses and spoke briefly to a few realtors, then we ended up doing some research online and found Nick. We gave him a call and he gave us a quick rundown of what we should start out with first, how he would fit in and what we would need to proceed. With that in mind, we planned out the must haves and deal breakers, got a preapproval from a lender and came back to Nick with a very, very long list of homes to view. On the first day we met I believe we had 11 showings, and he lead the way at every point. He took the time to point out flaws and potential points of concern and highlight encouraging items. For example: at one house, he explained how he could tell the windows were likely the original windows from when the home was built because they matched every other home nearby. It hadn't even occurred to us to consider that we might need to inspect the windows, so he even showed us things to look for to try and determine age and quality. He pointed out the ages of furnaces and water heaters and made sure to mention them and any other concerns he had when we told him our thoughts. He did deep dives on our top priorities, he was available at the very odd times we texted him at night and we had a zoom call or two as well. Every single document we needed to review or sign, he went over with us and explained in detail, and went over any section we had questions about. When it came time to place offers, he told us the optimal time frame and how to avoid bidding wars. Nick accompanied us at closing, and has kept in touch since if we needed anything. We closed on time, we bought below asking price, and the appraisal came in exactly where he expected. Our experience buying a home was exceedingly smooth thanks to Nick.
