In reviews, words like "outstanding" and "exceptional" are often overused. When it comes to Barry, those words don't go far enough.In the past 20 years, I have worked with 9 realtors in 3 states. Barry has been unique in many ways. First and most importantly, he comes to every showing as the seller's agent. While the buyer's agent along with their client is seeing the home for the first time, Barry knows the home and is able to better inform perspective buyers about all the features of the home that might otherwise be missed. Secondly, in addition to the standard photos of the home, Barry has additional photos taken by an "architectural" photographer that are called luxury or architectural shots. Third, Barry does not just list the home with MLS. As Lake Arrowhead is a 2nd home market, he also markets the home in local and international magazines, getting wide exposure for your home. I highly recommend Barry to sell (or buy) your home in the Lake Arrowhead area.

This realtor stated he only works with sellers not buyers so he could focus on us and our needs, but that was not the case. The first important contact, which was to review an offer, which he decided to do while he drove. I told him I would prefer that he go over it with me when he was not driving but he insisted he knew what was in the offer and could do without a problem. We went over the offer and all the costs. At the end I asked if there were any additional charges and he said no, but later I found out from him that he missed a charge. He made it sound like I should have known there was this charge but I have only done this once and that was many years go. He should NEVER have tried to do something so important (at least important to the buyer) while driving. At the second critical point, when the buyer countered after the appraisal, he went to the buyer with a counter offer without talking to us, this was unbelievable. Who does that? In order to get updates throughout the process, most of the time we had to initiate contact with him to ask for those updates, and in some cases they were updates that were days old. When the money was deposited from the sale it was not correct. Again the agent was not focusing on us and instead I had to find the error and ask to get it corrected. What a disappointing experience. An agent is there to walk you through the process and we did not feel that was done at all. I would NEVER select this agent again.

Nancy was such a pleasure to work with. I initially called her about one of her listings on Christmas Day. I figured she would call me back in January, but she returned my call about 30 minutes after I called her. What really impressed me about Nancy was that after speaking with her she told me that her listing would probably not be ideal for my family due to its location. I asked her if she could show me some other properties and we made an appointment later that week. I found a property I liked and Nancy guided me the entire way. This is the fifth property I have purchased and even though I wasn't in the area during the escrow period, it was the easiest home purchase to date. Nancy was awesome the entire time. You will not regret working with her, the consummate professional who is even a nicer person.
