I initially met Sherri while looking at investment properties with a business partner. She was knowledgeable about the market and able to get us rental information quickly so that we could accurately assess our options. While it ended up not being the right time for us to purchase, I kept Sherri in mind for the next round. As it turned out, I found myself looking for a personal home in September 2020. Although it had been a few month's since we last spoke, Sherri immediately responded to my inquiries and was able to get me in to see homes quickly and keep me informed about the areas where I was looking. When "the house" popped up on Zillow one day she was able to schedule a last minute, next-day showing even though it had only been on the market for a few hours. My wife and I were out of state vacation home buyers and Nancy's help was invaluable. We originally identified her as an agent with experience the area and reached out to her. She then met with us to several times over the course of a few months in order to understand our wants and needs. Given that we never had lived in the mountain areas before, this took time and patience. She has spent many years working this area and has been able to easily answer various questions regarding climate, utilities, road conditions, which side of the mountain is best, how septic systems and wells function etc. Once we had established our priorities, we realized that we would have to patiently wait for the right house to be available. So Nancy monitored the market for the right fit for us for approximately 1.5 to 2 years. During this time she visited a dozen or more homes to qualify them for us. Many were deemed not good fits...some ended in a "auction" environment that we could not tolerate. When the house we eventually purchased came available, Nance visited the house within a couple days of going to market and qualified it for us. Based on her word, I bought a plane ticket that day and flew out the same day. We visited the house together the next morning and worked all afternoon that day 1:00PM to 5:00PM to craft an offer that we felt met the needs of the buyer. We were under a 5:00pm deadline to submit the offer in a very competitive environment and we met that deadline. Ultimately our offer was accepted. The seller needed a quick close so the due diligence period was brief....few weeks. Nancy coordinated much of the due diligence activities for me as I live out of state...e.g. general inspection, septic inspection, and well inspection. We could not have asked for a better agent. In a fast paced market when you're located out of state, I feel you really need an agent you can trust. Nancy is such an agent and such a person.
