About Me Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, my path to real estate began when I took a job as a contractor’s assistant while still in high school. We repaired and maintained dozens of investment properties which led to jobs with additional contractors in the area. After learning homes inside and out, I polished my business skills in the corporate fields of banking (MBNA) and insurance (AIG). I joined Patterson-Schwartz in 2003 as part of a top-producing team and became an independent agent in 2005. I joined our Property Management department in 2011 and found it to be an excellent fit based on my previous experience. I was fortunate to expand my role to the Director of Property Management and Relocation in 2015. We have an amazing team and our business has grown by leaps and bounds over the years. I launched my real estate career with Patterson-Schwartz shortly after graduating from Cabrini College in 1994. In 1995, I began listing and selling, earning the Realty Alliance Sales award for 8 consecutive years. Always playing an active role in agent training and education, I spent four years as Assistant Manager of the Hockessin Sales Center and two years as Manager of the Wilmington Office. I was Sales Manager and Broker of the Hockessin Sales Center from 2004 - 2013 before joining the Greenville sales center as Sales Manager in 2014. In recent years, I was responsible for the opening of the Patterson-Schwartz Coastal offices in Rehoboth Beach and Ocean View, where I currently serve as their Broker and Manager.I always make it a point to be active in the local real estate community and served on the Board of Directors for NCCBOR® (New Castle County Board of REALTORS®) and DAR® (Delaware Association of REALTORS®), and am on numerous committees, including the Professional Standards Committee. In 2014, I was honored to be appointed by Governor Jack Markell to serve a three-year term as a member of the Delaware Real Estate Commission. And every quarter I can be heard on the 1150 WILM radio show "Money and Politics," discussing the local real estate industry and sharing updates on the real estate market in Delaware.

Andy is an excellent agent

Andy is an excellent agent. He possesses a variety of skills, including excellent timing and a quick response. Most significantly, he is extremely patient and has served as our agent for the past two years during our house search until we finally found our home. He is also very knowledgeable about houses and would give us all of the cons and pros of each house we looked at to help us make a decision. This makes him an excellent agent and image for Patterson-Schwartz.

Andy was great through the entire process

Andy was great through the entire process. He walked me through homes and gave me information and helpful tips with each one. I was picky and indecisive but he stuck with me and I ended up getting exactly what I wanted due to his fast move on a property he knew I'd want to see. He is personable and knowledgeable and made the process a breeze. He also recommended a great home inspection agency and closing attorney. Couldn't be happier with the experience!
