I was referred to Debbie from a coworker/friend and I don't think I could thank him enough for it. Debbie impressed me from the start; I didn't even bother reaching out to any other agents. Her knowledge and attitude were exemplary. She broke down the whole selling process into easy to understand steps; what I needed to do and when. There was no 'fluff'; she was straight forward and to the point. I had moved a couple states away early on in the process and I was preparing myself for a painful selling experience. The pain never came. Debbie responded to texts and emails promptly. All paperwork was done with a simple to use online system. A few issues came up with the property and she took care of them. She didn't assume my intent and do things on her own. She kept me in the loop as to what was going on and gave me the option to to do things myself, while also offering to assist. I accepted her assistance and things were taken care of. She went above and beyond my expectations of a real estate agent. I interviewed several potential realtors to sell my childhood family home and decided on Debra Byrnes. It was a great decision. I would describe Debra as a trustworthy, hard working professional with great negotiating skills who is very responsive and a creative problem solver. Debra, at our first meeting, differentiated herself from other realtors and made me fell she was working constructively for me. In the first walk thru of the house she not only identified potential home issues that should be addressed to obtain the highest value for my home, but also recommended and followed up with contractors that did quality work in a timely fashion at a fair price. Other realtors I interviewed pointed out the home's flaws and how they would negatively affect the selling price. As I was an absentee homeowner, Deb took it upon herself to check on the house frequently and on one occasion found the furnace had stopped. She informed me, then took the appointment with the furnace repairman. Additionally, she arranged the smoke alarm inspection and identified where alarms were required throughout the house, then amazingly, she also took care of getting them installed and reinspected. Just a few examples of how she went above and beyond. With regard to the selling process Debra was a consummate professional conducting several open houses of the property that resulted in delivering several potential buyers offers over a few months. I feel she was working constructively for me and that we agreed on a fair price with a quality buyer. With Deb shepherding the process, the buyer's inspection and bank appraisal went well along with the septic system inspection that had a hiccup (wrong address was on the paperwork) that Debra handled and had corrected by closing.
