We have had the pleasure of working with Kathy McDonald with our recent home purchase. Kathy had worked with us during the previous purchase and sale of our previous home in NJ. She was enthusiastic, supportive and got the sales done smoothly. After returning to NJ, we started looking at neighborhoods throughout South Jersey. The quick paced market was a challenge, but Kathy was always enthusiastic and her extensive knowledge base of South Jersey towns and neighborhoods helped us narrow our search. Three instances stand out to me as examples of her strong knowledge base and stellar reputation. 1) The Old House: She recognized from previous experiences with much older homes some structural concerns, but also caught some issues with some recent “updates” the owners had made. 2) The Newer House: The house was in a neighborhood I was interested in and I was getting anxious to find a house; even if it meant relaxing my expectations. She knew the builder and housing issues with that neighborhood. As we toured the home, we saw first hand her concerns. She confidently voiced to me that “this isn’t your house” and was absolutely correct! 3) Agent at the Open House: We had a brief conversation with the selling agent. He shared some kind words regarding Kathy and that “Kathy will get you a good house.” We knew we loved having Kathy on our team, but also appreciated that she has a good reputation among other agents. When the final house was found, Kathy’s strong sense of integrity, professionalism and experience were key points to getting this sale over the finish line. Kathy helped us navigate through the (sometimes tricky) negotiation process and demonstrated her care for us as clients. From our first call while living 5 hours away, until closing on our new home, Kathy was responsive, enthusiastic, incredibly knowledgeable and professional. We are so pleased to have had her as our Realtor and highly recommend Kathy McDonald.
