This was our second multifamily property purchase, and despite having gone through the process before, this transaction presented several unique challenges. We were purchasing a fully occupied 4-unit building in Oak Park and faced appraisal issues, village inspection requirements, seller negotiations, lender concerns, and an extremely tight timeline before my family left for a month-long trip to Europe.
