•My son and his wife engaged Norma as an agent for a slightly unusual transaction. My wife and I, who live in Nicaragua, sought to buy a house for them in Florida with cash. After an appropriate search they found a place and my wife and I signed a purchase agreement. Thereafter, a nightmare. We were using funds from a retirement account and, as one might imagine, it proves challenging to do financial transactions of this magnitude from Nicaragua. First, the retirement company sent us the wrong forms to make the withdrawal. When this was eventually discovered, the funds nonetheless failed to be transferred to our checking account. Turns out the retirement company used the wrong routing number. As we tried to negotiate this quagmire from the third world, two closing dates - the original and an extension - expired. Throughout this process Norma was stellar. From guiding the kids through the first time home ownership, to communicating rapidly, fully and honestly with all parties, to calming the anxious kids and seller, her professionalism and good humor proved essential. Can't praise her work enough.
