Our experience began with Jana sitting down with us in our dinning room and talking through the home selling process as well as the current realities of the area we live in. Jana is knowledgeable, approachable, personable, endlessly patient, and incredibly generous with her time (including mornings, evenings, and weekends over the course of several months). She answered every question and explained every form and every part of the process clearly and thoroughly. The house went on the market on Thursday in the afternoon. The following day we had our first house showing at 10:00 am and in the afternoon we had an offer that we accepted gladly for full price. We just closed on a new home in Winchester VA. Cynthia Butler was the real estate agent representing the builder. With that said, I felt like Cynthia was our personal realtor. As we lived Texas during the build of our new home, Cynthia kept us up to date on the build status sending us pictures on the home build progression. Cynthia also worked with us closely on option selections, answering all our questions or concerns expeditiously. Cynthia showed an abundance of knowledge about the complete build process, the remote closing process and any other concerns we had. We felt very confident in Cynthia’s ability to look out for the best interests of not only the builder but us as well. We trusted her judgment and guidance during the entire process. Due to age and other factors, I wanted to downsize and relocate closer to my daughter and grandchildren. My daughter saw a home close to her and recommended I use one of her friends, Deb Matthews, as an agent. I called Deb and we saw the house the next day. That evening, I put in an all-cash offer for the listing price. Unfortunately, the house was sold for more than asking. The seller used my offer as a proxy to get more than the asking price from one of his friends. Three months later, Deb called me with a similar house in the same neighborhood that was coming soon. She arranged for me to have the first official showing the following Tuesday. She also said I could put in an offer sight unseen. I didn’t want to buy it without first seeing the inside. I had to be out of town for 2 of the weeks between contract signing and settlement. Debt arranged the house inspection, attended the inspection, and arranged for the correction of a couple of minor items in my absence prior to settlement. Moreover, she recommended multiple contractors for other things I wanted to accomplish prior to moving in. Her in depth and thorough knowledge of the market and her industry contacts are an asset. Not only is Deb easy to work with, but she has the skills and tenacity to get the job done. Deb listens. Moreover, she is dependable, prompt, responsive, and professional.
