While our thoughts were of a single home, she injected thought of a duplex. This discussion produced a list of candidates (single and duplex) to visit. She was able to get us into a house (a duplex) the day it went on the market. It was everything we could have imagined as our new home. Abby suggested an inspector and an appraiser that she had worked with on numerous occasions. Both men were very detailed in preparing their reports. She kept me updated and answered questions, sometimes even before they were asked! She fully explained the process and provided a time schedule for the various events. Everything went smoothly from getting loan approval to closing because of the time and effort Abby put in. The offer we made may not have been the highest, but it was written to reflect our desire for the house along with the willingness to work with the seller. It did the trick – we won the bidding war! Our offer was the most favorable to the seller. She definitely knows how to sweeten the deal! I can't imagine having gone through the home buying process for the first time with anyone other than Jess. Jess was patient, informed, and willing to look at all types of homes until I figured out what was best for me. She was good at asking me what I liked and disliked about each property that we viewed which was a huge help in keeping things in persepctive. I may fall in love with a house because it has beautiful wood floors, but let's not forget the basement that's straight out of a horror movie when making major life decisions! I never felt pressured to make a decision, hurry up, or not take a second look at a place I was unsure about. Jess was patient with me as I spent forever reviewing every word of the paperwork and was able to answer any questions I had about the process or what I needed to do next. Another quality I appreciated was her ability to understand what she may not know or be entirely sure about, go find the answer and immediately follow up with me once she had.
