We bought a home through the community land trust (COCLT) this March. That program requires the buyer to pick an agent of their own, but one of the loan officers we spoke to recommended choosing Janene (who also acts as the seller's agent) because it would make the whole process go more smoothly. At first, I was hesitant because dual agency can be an issue if the agent is not truly representing both parties. But in this case, it's the best thing to do! Janene acted as a great go-between from showing through closing. In this case, having our own agent would have just gotten in the way. If you are looking to buy through COCLT and want to have Janene as both the buyer's and seller's agent, I highly recommend! COCLT staff is also great to work with. They are all the kind of people for whom gratitude spontaneously arises.

She really cares about the people she works with and she made my dream of homeownership possible. If you are thinking of buying a house in Columbus, especially through the COCLT program, I could not recommend her enough!

Jay was a nice guy but I would not use him again. Some key points were suggested on the listing and were not included. My biggest concern was at the time of the sale. He allowed the buyer to gain access and occupy the house before the closing was done (almost two weeks before closing). When expressing my concerns to him he never took any responsibility at all even though he controlled the keys to our house and allowed this to happen. He even hung up on me during this discussion.
