Toney Black is a thoughtful and resourceful agent with a deep well of knowledge and experience. I moved from Tampa, FL to the Piedmont area, and thanks to Toney, this was by far the smoothest and easiest move and purchase that I have ever made. I contacted Toney in January '26 after spending way too much time looking at the Internet. He really impressed me during our first conversation by genuinely working to understand what I was looking for, where I was coming from, and what I was looking for this house to become. There's a huge difference between someone asking you questions off a list so that they can barrage you with "matches" from their database, and a person like Toney, who deliberately takes the time to really understand your needs, wants, and expectations. He dug into the sellers disclosures, we discussed various pro's and cons of certain properties, locations, time on market, age of the home, you name it, we looked into it. Toney was extremely generous with his time, and his knowledge of the foibles of the housing market and the local inventory is impressive. It was really clear just by watching him that he is an expert in his field. We spend 3 days together in the car checking out all of the properties we had prioritized, and he's funny, engaging, and very well-organized. Toney was a life-saver in handling the details of the inspections, gave well thought out advice during the due diligence period, and showed himself to be a shrewd and effective negotiator. Toney is that rarest of things: a person who puts being genuine in front of anything else. He's thoughtful, empathetic, knowledgeable, and intuitive. He helped make a challenging situation for me into something that was exciting and fun.
