Toney Black is a thoughtful and resourceful agent with a deep well of knowledge and experience. I moved from Tampa, FL to the Piedmont area, and thanks to Toney, this was by far the smoothest and easiest move and purchase that I have ever made. I contacted Toney in January '26 after spending way too much time looking at the Internet. When Toney flagged some properties for me, I could tell that there was a purposefulness to it, that he was evaluating homes that he saw with my criteria. I came to the area in mid-Feb, after Toney helped me cull our list of ~ 80, down to about 25 homes. He dug into the sellers disclosures, we discussed various pro's and cons of certain properties, locations, time on market, age of the home, you name it, we looked into it. Toney was extremely generous with his time, and his knowledge of the foibles of the housing market and the local inventory is impressive. It was really clear just by watching him that he is an expert in his field. We spend 3 days together in the car checking out all of the properties we had prioritized, and he's funny, engaging, and very well-organized. Toney was a life-saver in handling the details of the inspections, gave well thought out advice during the due diligence period, and showed himself to be a shrewd and effective negotiator. Toney is that rarest of things: a person who puts being genuine in front of anything else. He's thoughtful, empathetic, knowledgeable, and intuitive. He helped make a challenging situation for me into something that was exciting and fun.
