We put our remodeled two bedroom condo in Friendship Heights with balcony and a view of the DC skyline on the market the weekend after Labor Day, 2020. At that point, the market for single family homes was taking off, while the market for condos began to shift and eventually turned flat, as people clamored for outdoor space and privacy. It became impossible to even show the property during one phase of the coronavirus quarantine, so Ashk arranged for a virtual tour of the condo with a highly professional video that was posted on the Sotheby website. When the building reopened to the public, Ashk held a series of open houses on weekends and marketed the property through his networks and multiple listings. Clients and agents visitng the condo consistently rated it highly, but finding a buyer was much more challenging because of uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and the economy. With a judicious adjustment of the price to bring it more in line with demand, and a good marketing strategy, Ashk found a buyer and we closed the deal just after Labor Day, 2021.
