Monica helped us find our second home in the near west burbs after we outgrew our one bedroom condo in the South Loop. She is great (and patient). Monica's value, however, was in knowing the area. She lives in Oak Park and knows the surrounding suburbs exceptionally well - both from a market standpoint and as a parent. When we (finally) found a house we loved, Monica knew the seller's realtor and lawyer and had a solid working relationship with them from past deals. That made our process easier. They trusted Monica and she knew what we were getting into in negotiating with them. That made our transaction very easy. Even today - many months after we have closed - I still call Monica. We are remodeling our home and she has excellent insight on design (as well as contacts in the local contractor community). Her insight helps us to ensure our new home will be well planned for when we move in. :-) "If we add another bathroom, will we get our money out if we have to sell the place in a few years?" "Should I add a garbage disposal in the kitchen? I don't care about them, but would a future buyer?" She always has great insight to these questions as well.
