My mother owned a home in the Mesa Del Mar development in Costa Mesa for 60 years and had been approached quite a few times by realtors to represent her when it came time to sell her house. She turned them down year after year, as she was not ready to sell, nor did she like any of the people that offered to help. When she was ready to sell, I was very surprised that she knew exactly who she wanted to sell her home. She had spoke to him many times over the years about the neighborhood and properties that were on the market, but he had never asked about selliner her home. The person that she contacted was Kip Hancock. What really set Kip apart was that he always emphasized that he would support in any way that he could and that the best decision was driven by what would be best for the family. He was a great sounding board for our many questions so that we could do our homework at our pace. He was also incredibly patient was we changed our approach at least three times. Once we had the official plan in place, he was there to make sure everything was going well and confirming what steps that he could take care of. For years, I had dreaded the thought of cleaning out the house and getting it ready to put on the market. As the seller, we took about 4 weeks to do our part. Once we give the okay for Kip to take over the rest of the work to get the house ready, he took seven days and the property was ready to go on the market and completely different, in a good way. It was on the market for 7 days and over three dozen offers came in. Throughout the process, Kip kept us up to date with how everything was going. We were able to review and sign the paperwork remotely very easily. I am stunned that just two months after transitioning my mom out, the house is sold and escrow is closed. I had envisioned this would take ten times as long and 100 times more stressful. Like the saying goes, Mom knows best.

Mark is a Unicorn. I've sold and purchased many homes, and what I saw with Mark's service and support was unprecedented. He was extremely helpful, responsive, and proactive. He counseled us on what inspections to get at what level would move the sale along to the buyer's satisfaction (our buyer never got other inspections, which helped close it faster). He suggested what we should fix and involved himself with doing small repairs to help out, including power washing, light plumbing, caulking, painting where needed. He was in the home when each potential buyer visited with their agent, educating them about home and neighborhood details himself - not just leaving a lock box or questions unanswered. He supports the neighborhood with kids 4th of July parades, pumpkin patches and holiday events, supporting a safe and friendly environment for new buyers. If anyone in the process of the sale wasn't immediately responsive, he stayed on it to ensure maximum progress. We are so impressed, and you will be too! I'd make myself available for additional commentary, I was that impressed. Class act! A+++!
