Choosing an agent to sell your home is risky business. Most agents require at a minimum a 90-day listing, so if you are dissatisfied with your choice, then you are stuck, at least for a while. When it came time to list my house, I wanted someone who lives in and is familiar with the area and who had a reputation with the brokerage community for efficiency and dedication to her clients. Fortunately, I had a relative in that business who steered me in the right direction. She recommended, and I chose Allison Dodd and never looked back. We had two false starts–offers that were subsequently withdrawn. I was kept informed from listing through closing as to when the house would be shown, any feedback gleaned from the buyer’s agent after a showing, and once under a binding agreement all deadlines, the buyer’s responsibilities, and my own.
