The Best of The Best
I was new to LA and asked friends for recommendations when it came time to buy a condo. When I spoke to Whit, I knew he was the one, but did my due diligence and spoke to everyone who was referred. Whit immediately stood out from the rest in several respects. First, in representing me as the buyer, Whit looks at properties from the perspective of a seller, and points out advantages/disadvantages that I didn't consider. Second, Whit does not specialize in a focused geographic location. I had several areas in mind (all the way from the Valley to Marina Del Rey), and Whit was extremely knowledgeable about every area. He was even able to look at a street address and tell me about the area, the direction the condo was facing, proximity to freeways, etc. Third, Whit does not delegate his clients to other realtors for showings. He alone attended every single showing, which was remarkable given his other clients and the geographic span of the city.
While seeing prospective properties, Whit listened to my likes and dislikes and curated listings based on my feedback. Even when I would see properties during weekend open houses on my own, Whit took time to separately see every single property that I had an interest in.
Whit took time to explain the escrow process, manage my expectations, and provide helpful timelines. He helped me avoid getting caught up in the frenzy of bidding wars, and provided me with arsenal of valuable contacts, including inspectors, handymen, etc. Whit was also extremely helpful in going the extra mile such as explaining who I should reach out to for the issues in my inspection report (i.e, plumber, handyman, electrician, etc.), how to secure my townhouse, and even removing items the seller had left behind. On my closing day, I was out of town, and Whit took care of everything. He had the keys ready for me when I returned.
Whit is the best of the best. I can't wait to work with him again when it is time to sell my townhouse!
