I started out as a "By Owner" seller because I thought it could be easily accomplished in this current market. I quickly learned that it was not an easy task. As I live in Florida, my sister met him at the house, and he came fully prepared with comps and excellent details. I was in a hurry to sell my home, having already moved out of town, and tried to sell it myself for a month with a neighbor showing the house for me. While there was interest, I received only one very low ball offer after 3 weeks. I engaged Val and the results were beyond my expectations. Within one day of listing, I received a full price offer. While that deal fell through, I received three more offers and accepted one - all within 2 weeks! Val also went above and beyond what I expected from a realtor. Since I moved out of town, I wasn't able to visit the house. Val stopped by every few days to picked up junk mail and emptied the basement dehumidifier. Twice some minor repairs were needed. For the first, he engaged a handyman to fix the problem; for the other he fixed it himself. It would have been very difficult, if not impossible, for me to take care of these things remotely. Val was always super responsive whether by phone or by texting. Val has a very pleasant personality and completely explained the entire process for selling my home.
