Victor Reyes

I worked with Victor over about seven months to find and buy a house in Berkeley. In such a competitive market I was surprised to have an offer accepted so quickly, and Victor made the whole process so smooth that I would not have had any trouble spending longer on it. We must have visited over 100 houses and submitted a number of offers; without Victor managing the entire process and all the paperwork, I would have lost motivation much earlier in the process. Since this was my first house purchase, I had no real understanding of the process or real estate in general. Victor patiently answered all of my questions and helped me understand what was going on in real detail. During the showings, he pointed out both positive and negative aspects of each house that I would have missed by myself. I was drawn towards a older houses that had potentially expensive foundation issues and I would have not noticed or understood the issue without his help. Victor made the offer process a breeze for me—something I appreciate as somebody who hates paperwork. This helped me submit offers to more places even at prices that did not seem competitive, which ended up working out well when one house surprisingly only had one competing offer. Once I had an offer accepted, Victor managed communication with the seller and arranged all the initial inspections and needed work on the house. Given how many other things I needed to juggle with the house process this was a massive help and kept me from getting too overwhelmed. Victor was a great professional partner to work with throughout the whole process, and I would happily recommend him to anybody else interested in buying a home anywhere in the East Bay.

COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER WITH VICTOR! He was incredibly responsive and always available. He was super on top of everything, and I never even felt stressed during the process because I knew he was keeping me updated and taking care of everything. He was flexible around our schedules going to view houses. He knew great contractors, including odd ones like a fireplace guy, for everything we needed before and after purchase. He had a fantastic lawyer for us within 2 hours when we needed legal counsel on the purchase contract. He helped us with all the paperwork from our lender, and stayed on top of them too to make sure everything was moving in a timely fashion. Basically, anything we needed we would let Vic know and he just took care of it.

Victor was truly amazing; the best realtor I've ever worked with. Extremely responsive and responsible, very pro-active, friendly, and a great negotiator. We were trying to do a fairly complicated purchase of a mult-unit property, and Victor helped us navigate every step of the way. He was always thinking two steps ahead, and had the right sort of long-term attitude. Very much interested in making sure we found the right property for the long haul, and helped protect us from potentially problematic situations. Also, a great guy to talk to. Just a joy to work with.

Victor went far above and beyond the level of support I would have expected from any realtor. Despite our unusual situation (a group of couples seeking to purchase a multifamily property as a TIC), Victor was eager to work with us and both helped us to narrow down exactly what we wanted and introduced us to many options we had never even considered, including some that he was able to find only through intensive research and conversations with other realtors. Victor's work ethic is incredible. He went to roughly a hundred open houses, often by himself and without even telling us, to see if a property was worth us looking at. He was meticulous about keeping everybody in the loop (not an easy task with a group of 8 homebuyers) and was always extremely responsive (over phone, email, and text). With each offer that we put down, Victor would be a tireless advocate for us in negotiations with sellers and was hands-on in scheduling inspections and keeping the whole closing process running smoothly. Even now that our house purchase has closed, Victor is still in regular contact with us, and is helping to guide us through the contractor work that we are about to undertake. I could not imagine not going through Victor again for any future home purchase or sale, and we are enthusiastically recommending him to all of our friends.
