About Valerie

Valerie is relatively new to the world of Real Estate after her retirement as an educator for 30 years. She began her career in education teaching Dental Assisting at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry at UAB. She left UAB to follow her career path to the Fairfield City School System. While with the Fairfield system, she taught at the high school, served as an Assistant Principal, Principal and Central Office Administrator. Being a person who is very active, Valerie chose to pursue a career in Real Estate, which had been an interest for many years. Outside of work, Valerie enjoys playing tennis. She has played on several teams throughout the Birmingham area, where she has accumulated several local championships and USTA state championships. She is also an active member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, where she is in the choir, Praise Team and Handbell Choir. Valerie has been maried to Wayne Holmes for 37 years. They have 2 children- Charter and Kacie (Ross) and 2 grandsons, Levi and Adam.
