We needed professional help and Valerie provided it and much more. We had purchased and moved into a new home located about 4 hours away from the property we needed to sell. Our being remote meant that we needed some one with many skills as the home still needed some TLC and we also knew that communication would be very important. The home was now empty but as such, it also showed some problems that needed to be addressed. The carpet on the main floor was in poor shape and we determined that it should be replaced by vinyl wood planks. Valerie was on site to provide assurance to insure that the measuring and installation was done correctly. Then with the new floor in place, the other unknown problems started to occur. The HVAC condensation removal system in the attic failed as did a roof leak that together caused ceiling water damage in two bathrooms the living room and in the garage. Also it was discovered that the basement had water mold and insect (ant nesting) which had occurred from water being driven into the basement floor by recent costal storms. A contractor was hired by Valerie who fixed the ceilings and removed the basement drywall insulation and cleaned up the mold. Once the clean up was finished, the process of looking for a buyer began. One was located and a price was agreed upon but then the buyer's inspector found dry rot (more water damage) and Termite damage. The buyer then requested a reduction and Valerie provided us with good sound advice in reaching a reduction in price that was agreeable to both buyer and seller. Valerie served us well as she became our eyes and ears in Brunswick and also served as our General Contractor as well as our realtor and did it all in a most professional and understanding way. Thank you Valerie for a job well done. You never know what's going to happen and we hope that this will not happen to you. However if it does, it's essential to have a professional and multiskilled realtor working for you.
