When you start to look for houses in a very competitive market, what people don’t tell you is that you need a full team behind you. We couldn’t have asked for a better team captain than our realtor, Travis Conte. My husband and I were very new to the home buying process and Travis took the time to walk us through every step of the way. At our first meeting, he greeted us with a welcome bag filled with educational materials, bought us coffee and literally explained to us how to buy a house (we didn’t have a clue where to start). He set us up with a wonderful loan officer to ensure our finances were in order and we all were aware of what we could afford before we even started looking at homes. When it was time to start touring, he came with us and educated us as to what things to look for and what to avoid. When we were thinking of putting out an offer, he walked us through the disclosure on the property and helped explain what issues to avoid and what issues were easily fixable. His expertise of the market also helped us move fast. We were able to secure our dream house in just 3 weeks. Without Travis’ help, this wouldn’t be possible and we would still be looking. Even after we bought the house, Travis has been there for us. He’s always there for us for advice and has a wonderful network of industry experts who have been a wonderful extension of his customer service which is so important to have in a competitive market like the bay area. I was fortunate to find Travis for corporate housing assistance in 2013. He was able to locate corporate housing for us in a decent location at a decent price, and his services were at no charge. Unheard of that someone would go out of his way to provide this kind of help and not expect anything in return. So yes I would highly recommend Travis to anyone who wants to be treated with respect and not for profit only! On a personal level, when our parents had to be sold recently he helped with all the specifics to put it on the market and the assistance we received from him was thoughtful and compassionate. His improvement recommendations were reasonable with reasonable timelines. Again, could not have had a better experience at a time when the situation was not a happy one. TRAVIS ROCKS! By far the best experience we've had with a realtor. Travis was there every step of the way. He took the time to explain the whole process from offer to closing, he even brought sample documents to our first meeting. Travis first took the time to identify our ideal home by asking our needs and priorities. While looking at various homes, he was very easy going and he made us feel like he had all the time in the world to keep searching. Not only did he advise on locations, but home quality and most house for our money. Beyond thankful that my realtor from the Central Valley was given a referral for Travis. I had a strict deadline with purchasing a home and Travis did not seem phased by my marathon demands. I was very impressed with our first meeting where he had prepped a bound list of the homes we were to look at that day with all the info. After just two days or looking at homes we made an offer and Travis got us in contract with a home in Pacifica (we looked in Pacifica, SF, South SF, San Bruno, and Daly City). On move in day, Travis was so nice to stop by and bring us some snacks to get us through the day. We felt comfortable with Travis the entire time and would trust him again in a heart beat.
