Have you ever considered house buying just based on pictures and on agents' opinions? Add to that you are living across the globe in a 16-hour difference time zone. Someone will say that either you are crazy or have the highest level of trust in your agent. Yes, we fit in the second bucket. Tim and Melissa helped us to buy a house few years ago, and now, when we feel ready to buy another one, we just talk with them, explained what we want and the conditions. Voilà, we made an offer, it got accepted with went thru the entire process of inspection, financing, documents, signing some of them in the US consulate (this was an expensive part) and finally visit the house few months later.
