The housing market is very competitive. There's a high demand and not much supply. That being said, we were very fortunate to have hired Tom as our realtor. Tom offered a lot of experience and provided great advice. We had looked at a couple of houses and were a bit discouraged due to the pricing and supply of homes. When we finally found the perfect house, Tom provided guidance on how to make an aggressive offer. Right before we submitted the offer, he recommended us to increase it by $1,000 so that it wouldn't end on a round even number (76 instead of 75). We ended up closing on the house. On the final walkthrough we met the previous owners. The previous owners told us that we were the top offer by $1,000. Imagine losing the perfect house in this market by $1,000. Tom was very insightful and had good knowledge of the current housing market prices. He came to our house a couple of weeks before we decided to list. He gave us buyer's perspective suggestions on how to list and sell our house quickly. He brought in a professional photographer and created the listing. Before the listing hit the market, we received multiple calls to view and received two offers. We ended up with twelve offers and sold our house for about 10% over asking. Tom put in extra effort to make sure the house sale went through smoothly. He was always available by phone and we very responsive. Tom had a wealth of experience and I would definitely use him again the next time we're in the market.
