As a first time home buyer, I had no idea what to expect. I read almost every review for prominent realtors in the metro-Detroit area and stumbled on Tom. In a few words, I can tell you first-hand that all these reviews are genuine and representative of the wonderful (and fun!) experience my husband and I had when working with Tom. It was amazing how quick and smooth-sailing the entire process went. We told Tom what we were looking for from the beginning, our budget, and he was able to help us filter the endless houses available on the market. We spent only 2 days looking at houses with Tom and found the perfect home. He kept us informed through it all: working diligently behind the scenes to get our offer in immediately and negotiated well with the sellers on hiccups. Tom always had our best interest in mind. Although looking through houses with Tom was a wonderful and comical adventure, I am ecstatic to be writing this review from the comfort of my new living room about a month from when we first met him. Speaking with multiple friends who are also in the process of closing their houses with other realtors, their experiences were less than stellar. They took months to find the right house, putting over 20 offers on houses, random hidden costs, or the realtor didn't answer the phone...Tom was the opposite of all these things, and I would have recommended Tom to them if I knew they were looking! This man is a shark and is available to anyone 24/7. As a young new couple he was so understanding and easy to work with. We used him for buying our home and selling our condo. You simply cannot go wrong with him. His knowledge of the market and the area are spot on. Buying and selling can be stressful for anyone but this guy made the transition seem less- especially in my situation as I was 8 months pregnant with my son

Do you believe in Gardening Angels... Well not only is Tom Gilliam a smart, handsome, funny hardworking, disciplined realtor he is an angel. Before I met and worked with Tom Gilliam my house was on the market for 6 months with a horrible reality firm. My terrible agent at the time Ilean Mitz from Reality One was one of the most unprofessional realtor I have ever worked with. She was always on vacation and just let our beautiful home sit with no attention.. So after I fired Ilean Mitz ... I hired Tom Gilliam as my new Realtor... Tom sold my house in 3 DAYS... Yes 3 DAYS!!!! Working with Tom was Seamless, he was so professional and was with me every step of the way. Not only did he sell our home he did the Unimaginable... he took it to a whole new level.. He worked every weekend his days off and he even worked on Easter Day for us.. he never stopped. Tom always answered his phone when I called and always had the right answers to my questions. He stepped in as my personal painter and contractor when there was a sudden emergency at our home and we couldn’t be there..He saved our home from almost being terribly damaged from a broken water pipe that almost flooded the house. If it wasn’t for Tom the new carpet in the house would have had to be replaced but Tom saved the day.. “Guardian Angel” I am so blessed to have found Tom.. now he is a great friend for life.. Tom obviously loves his work—he had us on board after our first meeting. The property sold within a couple of days of listing. Tom was especially attentive toward our elderly mother and empathized with her as she sold her home of 40+ years. He offered help above and beyond what we expected. We would recommend him highly.
