We actually met Teresa Saxton by stopping at an "open house" that she was hosting. We had simply been driving about the neighborhood on a Sunday afternoon and stopped on an impulse. She introduced herself and after we had walked about the house, she asked if we had an agent and offered to help us if we did not. We had not been actively looking for a house. With her assistance, a month later we were in a house following nine years of apartment living after the flood from Hurricane Katrina. Teresa showed unusual competence in evaluating properties as well as an awareness of our needs. She offered solid advice in the process of our making an offer and negotiating with the seller and her agent. Furthermore, she worked well with the seller's agent as well as representatives of the mortgage, title, inspection, and insurance companies.
