New name. Same me.
You may know me as Tammy Heckart. I recently got married, and I’m now Tammy Heckart-Kautz, on my way to simply Tammy Kautz. Same phone, same honesty, same person you’ve trusted since 2002.
I started in real estate in 2002 with a lot of ambition. By the time the 2008 crash was over, I had $93 to my name and a son to support. Quitting wasn’t an option, so I rebuilt from scratch: studying the market, holding open houses almost every day and showing up no matter what.
Then I spent 17 years with a home builder, designing floor plans, creating interiors and pulling deals together. That’s where I learned how a home is really built, and it’s why I can walk through a house and tell you what you’re actually buying.
Here it is with the desk line added. I changed "the people" to "being with people" so the sentence reads smoothly:
For the last several years, I led a team, and I'm proud of what we built together. But my favorite part of this business has always been being with people, not stuck behind a desk, so I've gone back to where I started. Now it's my assistant, Jen, and me, and you'll work with us from the first conversation to the closing table and long after.
I’ll tell you the truth even when it’s hard to hear, because I’m not here to collect a check. "If it doesn’t feel good, it’s just not right."
When I’m not selling, I’m giving back through the Home Team Iowa Foundation, and I’m proud of the seven Charity Homes whose proceeds went to Children’s Cancer Connection.
I’m still here, still selling, and just a call away.
